Applies to the confirmed LOLIN D1 mini V4 hardware and ESP8266 Arduino setup.
Technical setup notes
- LOLIN D1 mini V4 is an ESP8266 board. Install the ESP8266 Arduino core separately from the ESP32 core and select a matching D1 mini profile.
- GPIO uses 3.3 V logic. V4 provides USB-C and the LOLIN I2C connector; verify the printed board revision when using its pinout.
- The documented V4 A0 input limit is 3.2 V at the board pin, distinct from a bare ESP8266 ADC input.
