DHT11 identification and ESP32 connection notes
- The labelled DHT11 uses one timed digital signal, not I2C. Select DHT11 in the software library; DHT22 and DHT20 are different sensor types.
- Sensor range and accuracy depend on the supplied DHT11 element/revision. Older and updated product documentation quote different limits; do not assume the DHT22 range or below-zero operation.
- Use 3.3 V power/logic for the linked XIAO ESP32-C3 example, connect Grove SIG to D0 and sample every 2.5 seconds.

Description
The Grove DHT11 sensor provides digital temperature and relative-humidity readings over a single data signal. Use a DHT11-compatible driver and confirm the actual sensor revision when selecting range, resolution or accuracy requirements. Supplier descriptions of updated elements must not be applied automatically to every board or substituted for the DHT22 specification.
Comparison between DHT11 and DHT22
There is another famous DHT sensor on our website -- Grove DHT22. Compared with DHT22, the DHT11 sensor is more cost-effective, but the measurement range and accuracy are lower.
